1. How to request deletion

You can request deletion of your HashDashDot account and its data on the web, without installing or reinstalling the app.

On the web or in the app

  1. Sign in at hashdashdot.app with your account email and the code we send.
  2. Open the account menu and choose Settings.
  3. Under Delete account, choose Delete account, then Send deletion code.
  4. Enter the code from the email and confirm that you understand what will be deleted.
  5. Choose Request account deletion.

The same menu is available in the Android and desktop apps.

Sign in on the web

If you cannot sign in

Email support@hashdashdot.app from your account email and ask us to delete your account. After confirming that you own the account, we request deletion through the same process and reply to you. We may not be able to act on a request we cannot verify.

Email a deletion request

2. Before you request

  • You do not need to cancel your subscription first. A deletion request stops automatic renewal of web (Paddle) and Google Play subscriptions; the remaining period is not refunded. Refunds follow the Refund Policy.
  • If a payment is still being confirmed, the request cannot be completed yet. Try again later or contact support.
  • Copy any records you want to keep before you request deletion.

3. After you request

  • You are signed out on all devices and external app (MCP) connections are revoked immediately.
  • Your account and records are permanently deleted 30 days after the request or, if later, when the remaining paid subscription period ends.
  • Until then, you can cancel the deletion by signing in again with email verification. Automatic renewal does not restart.

4. Data that is deleted

  • Account: email, account ID, language, font and theme settings, sign-in sessions, adult-eligibility confirmation and sign-up source label
  • Records: all daily notes, documents, monthly calendars, habits and their past versions
  • Connections and access: external app (MCP) connections, complimentary access and the overseas-transfer consent record
  • Unsent drafts stored in the browser you used to request deletion. Storage on your other devices is not erased remotely.

5. Data that is kept, and for how long

  • Web (Paddle) payment records: contract, withdrawal, payment and supply records for 5 years under the Korean Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce
  • Google Play payment records: order numbers for 5 years from the purchase or refund (test purchases 90 days); the link between a purchase token and the account until every Google Play subscription of the account has ended
  • Server backups: about six weeks while backups rotate, accessed only for recovery and security
  • Support records: removed once resolved; consumer complaint and dispute records for 3 years under the same Act
  • Paddle and Google keep their own records under their policies.

6. Deleting some data without deleting your account

You can delete documents or clear notes in the app at any time. A deleted document is kept for 30 days and then permanently removed.
